Casey Renee Cosplay: Introduction to Tambour Embroidery
Description
Have you ever wanted to learn an embroidery technique that is hundreds of years old?
Tambour embroidery is a couture sewing technique used to make detailed embroidered pieces of all sizes. It's used to make costumes for tv, film and Broadway, as well as in couture fashion. This class will teach the chain stitch which is the foundation of Tambour and from there we will build upon that foundation with beads and sequins. Since this technique is so unique to itself there is no prior experience needed however dexterity and patience are highly recommended for this technique.
Casey is a national cosplayer and cosplay judge! She has been sewing costumes and clothing since 2013 and began teaching in-person classes in 2021. While Casey is well-known for her highly detailed couture gowns, she also creates many of her own wardrobe pieces.
Casey is the author of "Cosplay Foundations", a book about making corsets, hoop skirts, bodysuits and more.
