Poplin is a tightly woven fabric with a smooth hand and a crisp drape. It is lighter than quilting cotton but heavier than lawn or voile. It is not fully opaque, so it may require a lining depending on the garment. This lightweight fabric would be great for both shirts, blouses, and lined dresses.
