Beginner Fashion Sewing (Adults)-Level 2

If you are ready to sew clothing, this class is for you!

I searched high and low to find a good curriculum for adults who want to learn to sew clothes, and I found the perfect solution. This curriculum contains four levels. Students will create a garment at each level using a special pattern designed to teach the most frequently used sewing techniques every stitcher needs to build skills and become an independent maker. In addition to completing a garment at each level, students will create a sample binder. You will make a technique sample for each skill to add to your binder, which will be an excellent resource for future projects!

You'll come out of this series with all the skills you need to independently construct any commercial sewing pattern.

Level Two: Robe

Requirements: Participants must complete the Beginner Workshop for adults (or know how to thread and use a sewing machine) prior to starting this semester.

Required Materials: The sewing pattern, tools and equipment are supplied by the studio. Students will need to bring or purchase fabric. We have a selection of appropriate fabrics available in the studio for purchase.

• 4 yards of quilting cotton fabric
  
• 1 1/2 yard of quilting cotton contrast fabric

This class is open for students who have completed Beginner Fashion Sewing Level 1.
