Beginner Fashion Sewing (Adults)-Level 3 or 4

This section is for Level 3 and Level 4 students.

If you are ready to sew clothing, this class is for you!

I searched high and low to find a good curriculum for adults who want to learn to sew clothes, and I found the perfect solution. This curriculum contains four levels. Students will create a garment at each level using a special pattern designed to teach the most frequently used sewing techniques every stitcher needs to build skills and become an independent maker. In addition to completing a garment at each level, students will create a sample binder. You will make a technique sample for each skill to add to your binder, which will be an excellent resource for future projects!

You'll come out of this series with all the skills you need to independently construct any commercial sewing pattern.

We run this curriculum every semester, and a semester will complete a single level. Did you love your Level One class, and are you ready for more? Sign up for another semester to complete Level Two! Need to take some time off between Level One and Level Two? No problem! Just jump back in when you can, and you'll pick up where you left off.

Level One: Apron
Level Two: Robe
Level Three: Pajama Pants
Level Four: Pajama Top

Completion of the entire curriculum requires enrollment in four separate semesters.
Patterns are available for both women and men.

Requirements: Participants must complete the Beginner Workshop for adults (or know how to thread and use a sewing machine) prior to starting this semester.

This class is appropriate for both Skill Level 2 and Skill Level 3.

SKILL LEVEL 2 - ADVANCED BEGINNER Level 2 Classes are designed for stitchers who have basic sewing experienced and have practiced within the last year. You know how to use and thread a sewing machine and bobbin on your own. You know how to sew a simple seam and are familiar with terminology such as “right sides together” and “seam allowance.” If you have previously taken a workshop with Made Stitch Co, you will be ready for this level!

SKILL LEVEL 3 - BEGINNER DRESSMAKER Level 3 Classes are designed for stitchers who are confident using a sewing machine and have practiced in the last six months. You can complete a simple project, such as a pillowcase or tote bag, without difficulty. You are ready to begin sewing clothing, but not sure how to get started. You have never sewn a garment using a commercial pattern.
